Window Film & Tinting Options
Our experience confirms that these are the best window film options.
The LLumar brand, very popular amongst car tinting enthusiasts, designs a line of residential and commercial films as well. For solar control, LLumar can be a cost effective option for those looking to achieve a respectable return on investment while keeping upfront costs low. The N1020 product, for example, looks freshly installed some 15 years after the original installation date. Also, their safety and security films are also infamous for exceeding the standard industry testing methods. However, customers with existing dual pane-insulated windows should exercise caution with LLumar products, as only a handful are safe for use on that type of window. If you reside in Orlando or Florida and your home was built after 2010, you already have dual pane windows in place. Vista window films are higher performing than the LLumar brand, and are safe for any window type. And since the brand was introduced in 1986, it has never “bubbled” after installation. Most of the Vista products are also designed with night vision or “dual reflective” technology, meaning a more natural view from the inside looking out during the evening hours. In addition, Vista produces a line called “Ceramic” films, which are famous for the “non-shiny” appearance they give off from the exterior (a huge favorite of the interior design industry). Further, the warranty offered by the Vista line exceeds that of the LLumar brand, offering an added sense of assurance that product failure won’t be an issue.
We feel comfortable in saying that EnerLogic, a Vista product, is the best pound-for-pound window film on the market today. Enerlogic is a revolutionary new window film which possesses the ability to not only cool you in the summer, but will actually help warm you in the winter! It’s Low-E coating on the interior side acts as a radiant barrier to prevent winter heat from escaping your home, much in the same way a double or triple pane window would do, only without the expense and with a much faster payback and energy savings. In terms of performance and appearance, it is currently unmatched in the industry. Click here to learn more, or see the videos below:
